The Wanted – Glad You Came
Der Hochsommer ist zwar vorbei, aber mit The Wanted kommt Partystimmung in das heimische Wohnzimmer! Glad You Came ist ein Gute-Laune-Song der problemlos in Clubs, im Auto oder beim U-Bahn fahren gehört werden kann. Sommerromanzen to go sozusagen. Hübsch verpackt in tanzbaren Rhythmen und Bässen. Ein Fest für Freunde von Tanztempeln.
The Wanted
Die fünfköpfige britische Pop-Band aus London entstand als Ergebnis eines Massencastings. Zuerst nur zu Dritt mit Thomas Anthony Parker, Nathan James Sykes und James McGuiness, kamen später Maximillian Alberto George und Siva Kaneswaran dazu. Was mich doch sehr überraschte war, dass kein einziges Bandmitglied vor 1988 geboren wurde. Spätestens beim Video war ich ein zweites Mal überrascht, denn einige der Jungs wirken nicht einmal wie 17.

Das Video zeigt die fünf Bandmitglieder beim Feiern auf Ibiza. Die wunderschöne Insel ist bekanntermaßen eine sommerliche Hochburg für partyhungrige Menschen in der Blüte ihres Lebens. Briten stechen aus dem Partyvolk meist durch extrem rote Hautfärbung und betrunkenem Torkeln hervor. Anders hier. Über die Jungs kann man eventuell streiten, das Video ist auf die Zielgruppe abgestimmt und der Song ist super.

Die Website der Band ist ein eigenständiges kleines soziales Netzwerk. Voll mit jungen schmachtenden Mädchen natürlich. Mit Liebesbekundungen und allem drum und dran. Allein Max’ Lieblingsfilm soll (lt. geschriebener Mini-Biografie von Jay) Brokeback Mountain sein. Da hat sich wohl jemand einen Spaß erlaubt. Nach 10 Minuten auf der Seite kommt die Erkenntnis, dass man gerade massive Mengen an grauer Masse verloren hat. Ein Fall, in dem Unwissenheit die bessere Option ist.
Jetzt schnell noch alle Bilder und Altersangaben aus dem Hirn gelöscht und ein weiteres Mal auf Play gedrückt.
